Presentation Instructions

  • KDD 2023 is an In Person conference. All papers and posters are to be presented by one of the authors or a designated proxy.  If you are able to attend KDD, it is expected that you will present your paper in person.
  • If you have not already done so, please register immediately to ensure that your paper is not removed from the DL. 

Oral Paper Presentation Details

The paper sessions have been finalized and all accepted papers have been assigned a speaking time slot. Please visit the below web pages for this finalized schedule:

  • Download KDD Slide Deck
  • Each author receives 15 minutes for their presentation and 2 minutes for QA – 17 mins in total.
  • Each session room will have a screen, projector and HDMI connection for video and an audio connection that plugs directly into your computer’s headphone jack. Please bring an adapter if needed.
  • In alignment with KDD’s approach to an in-person conference, meeting rooms are NOT equipped to handle online presentations in any way.
  • To ensure a smooth transition from one presentation to the next, we highly encourage all presenters to embed any videos directly into their presentation as opposed to depending on a live internet connection.
  • Presenters must bring their own laptop to present, laptops will not be provided.
  • There will be a Session Chair and a Student Volunteer in every session room, in case you need any assistance. 

Poster Presentation Details

  • Posters will be presented at one of the following poster receptions:

Tuesday, August 8, 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM

  • You can find which poster reception your poster is assigned to HERE. 
  • Details for poster size, set up etc:

Each board is landscape-oriented; 8 feet wide by 4 feet high.
Each face of the board will fit (2) posters; (4) posters total per board.
Each paper will have 4 feet by 4 feet space for their poster.
Authors can decide on the size and design their poster, as they see fit (landscape or vertical), as long as it fits within that space.
KDD will provide pushpins for each board.
Typically the boards are numbered  1- 250 for attendees to easily locate.

Audience Appreciation Competition

  • We are finally ready to launch the competition of the 2-min promotional videos! All the videos have been uploaded to the KDD YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLn0nrSd4xjjaJCYKwjTdC7AvGrBKbu_yd
  • Please check that your video is out there on the channel. If not, please contact the Publicity Chairs right away!
  • Ask all your friends to watch your video! Only videos with the highest view count will be eligible to compete for the Audience Appreciation Award!
  • The top videos will be viewed by the panel of esteemed judges and the winners will be chosen. The winners will be announced at KDD-2023 Banquet Celebration and the first-place winner video will be screened!
